SEPT/OCT HDU UPDATE(S) 

 Hi y’all! 

This update comes to you much later than I’d wanted. And for that I apologize! I transitioned to a new job this past week (that I’d spent the better half of September landing). It’s been amazing! But it’s made for a very chaotic past month or so. I’m settling into a routine, so I’m going to start being able to focus on the VN again!

This update is meaty word-wise. It’s a lot of characters interacting and sharing details about themselves and the world.

The public build introduces Miriam, a strange character from Limbo. She and Lucian go back a ways.

The patron update introduces Lazarus, the newest character in HDU! He is a future romance option and 'foil' to our favorite devil.

OCTOBER

My goal for October is to get some CGs moving, and to touch up the art. Miriam’s sprite in particular needs more attention. She’s becoming a character I want to stick around, and she deserves that love!

Lucian’s sprites are ok, but I want to thin out the ones I don’t use often enough. I want to touch them up with Photoshop, which is the program I drew Lazarus' with. Generally, I want to make sure they all have a useful amount of expressions, eventually.

ROADMAP & OTHER

I’m still organizing a broad roadmap, so keep an eye out for that. For the foreseeable future, I’ll be working on a bug fix update (to fix known errors, typos, etc), as well as those art clean-up updates. I want to layout a plan for CGs and chapter plans after those are done. The writing is my primary focus, but I want make sure I'm also taking time to give other areas of the game that same level of attention.
